Gabriel DEUTOU (PhD)

Founder & Managing Director

Biography

Gabriel is the founder of Deutou Teaching Network, which provides On-Demand Teaching Services, to higher education institutes. Gabriel has 15 years of expertise in Education from K12 to Executive Programs, and a passion for Cross-Functional Operations applied to Education in a changing world.

Gabriel is currently working on converting his business into a unique commercial SaaS solution for On-Demand staffing in Education, which will create a staffing ecosystem specific to each institute, with the goal of automating its service delivery operations including booking, teacher attendance, grades submissions, payments and collecting student feedback.

Gabriel noticed earlier as a teacher and later on as an entrepreneur that there is a lack of cross-operational-efficiency between adjunct faculty and campus manager, in other words teachers have difficulties to brand themselves and increase their portfolio of client’s institute, while schools have to deal with daily challenges such as last minute course cancellation, shortage of available contractors for specific subject and ad hoc planning of their academic programs portfolio; and decided to create DTN similar to sport agent agency which will manage a teacher’s career while optimizing his visibility and revenue stream for service fees collected directly to schools per purchased teaching hours.

Gabriel has spent 12 years building his track record and has mastered servicing higher education for its on-demand (faculty) staffing needs. Gabriel holds also a PhD in International Relations, a MPA in International Development, a dual MBA in Finance and Marketing.

Gabriel can be found spending time talking about his real-estate investments made in Africa or watching football before teaching a summer course “The Business of European Football” to JMU students in Virginia, USA. He is also known to enjoy his cross-cultural family made of 3 kids (twins boys Nikolas, Liam and daughter Alya) and his Slovak wife (Simona).
